Spokane Hamfest Saturday 23rd 9Am – 4PM at University High school 12420 E 32nd Ave
BCARC Members,
It is both easy and important to support local Amateur Radio Events, A $5 entry fee, a couple raffle tickets and maybe even a Taco from a local vendor.
As you stroll among the tables and booths, please entertain the idea of BCARC showing club support for next years Hamfest. Having our own table will give BCARC exposure to members of the many surrounding communities who regularly attend this event.
Today we were informed by our host at University HIgh School that the Commons area & school would not be available to us this Saturday, September 23. The decision was made by the Spokane Public Schools Superintendent, who is planning a memorial service for the student killed this last week at Freeman High School. We respect the decision.
The event will have the same hours, but will instead be held at Horizon Middle School just south of University High School.
Horizon Middle School Commons Area 3915 S Pines Rd Spokane Valley WA East parking lot (Pines & 40th) If going south on Pines, turn left on 40th. It is the east parking lot, east entrance.
Please tell as many people as possible about this change of location.
Does anyone want to share their experience from the Spokane Hamfest?
As I arrived at 10AM the Spokane Hamfest already had a great turnout. It was Very interesting and educational to talk about the items people had at their tables. It was also good to see a familiar face, Wayne a BCARC member / officer of the past, who now lives in Montana. Looking forward to the next one.
